M40A6 Rifle Decanter
Hotspur is always up for a challenge / commission, the more out of the box the better, and the M40A6 Luxury Drinks Decanter was a great project to be involved in. The result is being sold to raise funds for the USMC Scout Sniper Heriatge Foundation war memorial. Lots of significant engineerig challenges were overcome to produce a highy unique & collectable item.
The Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation has worked closely with Hotspur to develop the ground breaking M40A6 Sniper Rifle Decanter. The M40A6 Decanter is an innovative and premium quality collectors piece, which will generate income for the foundation to further the Marine Scout Sniper War Memorial.
No stone has been left unturned and every detail has been covered. Hotspur was allowed to 3-D scan a real, issued, M40A6 rifle and then use the resulting CAD to create the decanter. The rifle is correct in every detail.
The main body of the decanter is made from 316 Stainless Steel with a premium glass facia so you can view the rifle through the liquid inside. To open, you simply unscrew the 316 stainless steel suppressor and pour the liquid out of the ‘barrel’.
The M40A6 decanter will be presented in a luxury hard case with an authenticity certificate, a bespoke funnel, 3 x exclusive pin badges, a collectors coin and a specific torque driver (it can be taken apart for cleaning). This is a true collectors item.
There will be one version for USMC Scout Snipers, set at 762 pcs, each will be individually serialized. The contents and specification of the case will vary slightly from the additional Collectors Edition, which will not be numbered. There will be 738 pcs for the Collectors Edition, the total run will be 1500 Decanters.

The M40A6 is a modernized version of the M40 sniper rifle, featuring a folding stock, an AR-15-style ergonomic grip, and a modular, multi-position rail system for accessories. It maintains the Remington 700 action and fires a 7.62mm round, and its design improvements, like the folding stock and shorter barrel, make it more adaptable for carrying in various environments.

Action: Based on the Remington 700
Stock: Features a foldable stock with an adjustable cheek rest and length of pull, which allows for compact storage and transport.
Rails: Equipped with a modular, multi-position rail system on the hand guard, providing greater flexibility for mounting accessories compared to previous models.
Ergonomics: Incorporates an AR-15-style grip for improved handling and comfort.
Barrel: Has a shorter barrel than the M40A5, making it more maneuverable, especially in confined spaces.
Ammunition: Fires the 7.62mm round.
Context and comparison
The M40A6 is an upgrade from the M40A5.
The M40A6 is currently still in use. The U.S. Marine Corps started fielding it in 2016.

The Coronation Bottle
This private commission, created to celebrate King Charles’ coronation, features an elaborate design that embodies the grandeur of this historic event.
On display at the Tower of London, the Coronation Bottle features a stunning stainless orb lid and a stainless crown suspended elegantly inside. Both are exact replicas of the Crown Jewels used by the King on coronation day.
