The Hotspur Story
Founded by Andy, a former member of the UKSF (United Kingdom Special Forces), Hotspur was created to embody the core principles of the UKSF selection process. These include honesty, integrity, humility, and a relentless pursuit of excellence—values we strive for every day within our business.
Early Days
We began in the shadows, supplying discreet military units and related entities with premium-quality spirits and bespoke laser-engraved items. We earned a reputation for quality, discretion, and creating unique products for unique people, growing steadily through personal recommendations.
The birth of the Blade series
On a hunting trip in the Scottish Highlands, Andy had a whisky-inspired idea: to put a Commando Dagger in a bottle and pour the liquid through the handle.
Though dismissed as crazy, Andy pressed on and developed the product, launching it to market.
The original Commando Dagger project with the Royal Marines was an instant sell-out.
From that chance idea, the iconic blade series was born, now featuring over 15 unique designs and still growing.
Beyond Military
Today, our collections include glass decanters with or without our unique stoppers, unusual flasks, tableware, and premium bar accessories.
While our main market remains military, we also create bespoke gifts, featuring everything from corporate logos to engravings of dogs and even hedgehogs!
