Introducing The OPERATOR.
A unique & premium special forces inspired drinks decanter.
Until recently Hotspur, the company behind the OPERATOR, remained in the shadows serving their unique clientele of special forces and related units. Andy, the founder and head product designer is former United Kingdom Special Forces.
As part of the ever increasing Hotspur range, the OPERATOR MK2 decanter was designed for those who have served within the special forces community, or those who appreciate what the operator community does.
The Mk2 has several improvements over the sellout Mk1, things like more personalisation options, better packaging and the addition of a GPNVG or pano style NVG.
Its unique design emulates the helmet and accessories that an operator would have when going on an operation. Each depicts NVG’s, an IR strobe, a side IR light and the detailing down to the picatinny rail is outstanding.
What makes the design even cooler is that each has a motion sensor that activates the NVG’s! When triggered a luminous glow covers the face in the same glow you would get on an operators face with a real set of NVGs. Not only this, when the NVG’s are triggered the IR strobe also flashes - but in real IR! This can only be seen through a set of real NVG’s and adds a whole new level of detail and authenticity to the product.
The head is USB-C rechargeable, a small led charging indicator changes from red to green when fully charged. The battery will last for 3 months on standby, the motion sensor operates out to 5m, and the LED lights will run for 24hours non stop.
The ‘NVG’s’ and the IR strobe are on a 20 second relay. When activated they will run for 20 seconds and then turn off if no motion is detected by the sensor.
The OPERATOR is available in 2 different designs - a BINO NVG with green illumination and also a GPNVG (quad) variant with white illumination.
Each design is available in HIP (High Impact Plastic), Forged Metal (FM) or Titanium (Ti)
The HIP Edition comes with a wooden box, the FM Edition comes with a tactical case and the Ti comes with a luxury Oak box.
Depending on the model selected there is also a selection of accessories, pins & coins that are exclusive to the OPERATOR range.
Another really exciting element to the OPERATOR is the ability to personalise. You can select to customise the logo on the front of the decanter, the name, any dates or messages, choose artwork on the rear of the decanter by country, upload your own and many more.
You can also customise the OPERATOR helmet with a callsign, team image, flag or any other piece of artwork you may want / that your team wear. The possibilities are almost endless and there are discounts for team orders.

HIP (High Impact Plastic) OPERATOR
The decanter 'head' is made from Impact resistant plastic. It is not unbreakable, but will last a lifetime if not misused.
There are two versions of the HIP Operator. The BINO with green illumination and the GPNVG with white 'phos' illumination.

Forged Metal OPERATOR
The decanter 'head' is made from forged metal. A robust decanter head with all parts made from metal.
There are two versions of the Forged Metal OPERATOR. The BINO with green illumination and the GPNVG with white 'phos' illumination.
There are 3 options with the FM OPERATOR;
- The OPERATOR as standalone
- The OPERATOR with Luxury Box
- The OPERATOR with TACTICAL Case
Titanium OPERATOR
The decanter 'head' is made completely from titanium.
There are two versions of the Titanium OPERATOR. The BINO with green illumination and the GPNVG with white 'phos' illumination.
The Titanium OPERATOR comes as standard with the Tactical Case.

Electrickery
The workings
Inside of your OPERATOR helmet is a motion sensor which activates the illumination for the 'NVGs'. The IR strobe is real IR and is fully functional, it initiates with the OPERATOR 'NVGs' and can be seen through real NVGs.
When activated they both illuminate for 20 seconds and then go out if no other motion is detected. They return to 'standby' looking for further motion.
